Job summary

GEA Group in Jakarta, Indonesia, is seeking a Sales Engineer for the Nutrition Plant Engineering Division. The role focuses on developing and securing orders for plant, line, and system projects in liquid and powder processing, working closely with customers and internal teams.

You will drive opportunities from early concept through order intake and project execution, collaborating with offer management and engineering, and traveling as needed to engage clients and build long-term relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Technology, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial solution sales, preferably within food, dairy, beverage, or chemical processing plants.
• Experience with CAPEX project sales, long sales cycles, and complex stakeholder environments is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Business Development & Opportunity Management: Identify, develop, and manage plant, line, and system-level sales opportunities in the food, dairy, beverage, chemical industries.
• Solution & Technical Sales: Lead technical and commercial discussions from early concept through proposal and contract negotiation; translate requirements into design basis and PFDs/P&IDs.
• Internal Collaboration (Matrix Organization): Coordinate with Sales Offer Management and Engineering teams to develop competitive solutions and interface with customers.
