PT Peoplyee Tech Indonesia is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost estimation for data center projects in Jakarta.

You will manage budgets, tender processes, measurements, and final accounts, negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors, and mentor junior staff to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery.

This role requires business-level English, minimum five years in data center QS roles, and willingness to travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Business-level English proficiency required.
• Minimum 5 years of Quantity Surveyor experience in data center construction (ME/M&E) including tender proposals for hyperscale projects.
• Mandatory prior quantity surveying experience.
• Strong knowledge of market pricing, cost benchmarking, and vendor/subcontractor management in data center construction.
• Prior managerial experience or readiness to assume a managerial role.
• Experience working with a Japanese general contractor is highly preferred.
• Willingness to travel to project and customer sites.
• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work accurately under tight schedules and tender deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Estimate costs for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracted work required for construction projects
• Manage project budgets, preliminary cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and cost data based on drawings and specifications
• Oversee pre-tender and post-contract activities, including tender preparation, contract documentation, measurements, and final account settlement
• Obtain quotations and negotiate prices and terms with suppliers and subcontractors
• Prepare progress claims, review payments, monitor expenditures against forecasts, and manage project variations
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure timely completion within the approved budget and contractual requirements
• Identify commercial and contractual risks, manage claims and disputes, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations
• Develop cost-saving solutions using alternative materials or construction methods without compromising quality
• Maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors while evaluating service quality and market pricing
• Lead and mentor junior quantity surveyors, evaluate subcontractor performance, and standardize quantity surveying procedures
