Qualifications

• Blasting experience is required.
• Minimum 4–8 years of operational experience, including supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of open-pit or underground mining methods, equipment, and safety regulations.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
• Certifications such as a Production Foreman Certification or POP/POM are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safety leadership: enforce safety protocols and risk assessments.
• Supervise mining operations (drilling, blasting, loading, hauling) to meet production goals.
• Coordinate heavy equipment positioning to optimize utilization and minimize downtime.
• Direct crews, manage shift scheduling, training, and corrective actions.
• Plan and report on output, costs, and activity; review performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and mining laws.
