Job summary

APP Group in Jakarta, Indonesia is seeking a Senior Chemical/Process Engineer to provide technical expertise for Hydrogen Peroxide (H₂O₂) projects, from engineering through commissioning and operation.

You will review process designs, PFD/P&ID, safety systems, and EHS compliance; coordinate with EPC contractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams; support troubleshooting, risk assessments, and performance testing to ensure safe, efficient project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field required.
• Strong experience with chemical/process projects, preferably involving Hydrogen Peroxide (H₂O₂).
• Experience in chemical plant engineering, commissioning, process optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Solid knowledge of PFD/P&ID, process safety, HAZOP, and EHS requirements.
• Experience collaborating with EPC contractors and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise for H₂O₂ plant/system design, installation, commissioning, and optimization.
• Review process design, equipment specifications, PFD/P&ID, chemical storage, handling, and dosing systems.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, maintenance, EHS, vendors, and contractors throughout project execution.
• Monitor project progress, technical quality, schedule, and compliance with project specifications.
• Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for process, equipment, and chemical-handling issues.
• Ensure H₂O₂ storage, transfer, handling, and process systems comply with applicable safety and environmental standards.
• Participate in HAZOP, risk assessments, commissioning, start-up, and performance testing.
• Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, chemical consumption, reliability, and operating costs.
• Prepare technical reports, operating procedures, commissioning documentation, and recommendations.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to operations and maintenance teams.
