Job summary

Hilti Asia Pacific is seeking a Lead Engineer to drive complex engineering projects from concept to completion in Indonesia. You will lead customer-facing activities, coordinate the design and execution across multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with codes and standards while optimizing design options.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in project engineering, a technical degree in Civil/Mechanical engineering, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree from Technical/Engineering education (Civil/ Mechanical Engineering is preferable).
• Min. 5 years of experience within project engineering role.

Responsibilities

• Lead Engineer is a customer facing role responsible to deliver charged engineering services within the scope of Integrated Project Solution along full project lifecycle from acquisition to execution to maximize project SoW.
• Coordinate and supervise the assigned engineering scope of the project to ensure the technical objectives are met within the approved scope, budget, and schedule.
• Supervise, oversee, and coordinate regular and timely technical reviews of engineering scope deliverables developed by Design Engineering team, ensuring design optimization in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
• Coordination and support of other functional roles within the Project Team to resolve technical issues and ensure quality Engineering execution and design integrity.
• Project acquisition: assess information availability, scope and time to perform value adding engineering services, consult/ support the Construction Project Manager in quoting for the project and consult Framework feasibility.
• Project Execution: ensure quality and accuracy of Engineering and Design activities, system integration, and design selection; supervise reviews and approvals; provide technical advisory and coordination with customer’s discipline specialists.
• Based on customer requirements create design guideline/input to Modeler(s); join clash coordination sessions as Hilti representative when required.
• Ensure proper engineering documentation as per design guideline; coordinate engineering participation and input for design options to validate and optimize outputs.
• Teamwork and development: support Project Managers and Engineers; establish relationships with regional LE; interface with Managers, Team Leaders and Engineers; foster open working climate and develop DEs on career paths.
