Job summary

TERA Data Centers is seeking an experienced Field Engineer to serve as the technical authority for our Indonesia hyperscale data center operations. You will provide governance, standardization, and advanced troubleshooting to ensure continuous availability.

You will work with the Engineering operation team and campus managers to raise engineering capability, improve reliability, and support expansion of our next-generation platform across Asia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years in data center operations or mission-critical facilities.
• Minimum 5 years in senior engineering or technical leadership roles.
• Proven experience in commissioning, operation, maintenance, and reliability of mission-critical infrastructure.
• Demonstrated expertise in advanced troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems in a 24×7 environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for all critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
• Serve as the highest technical escalation point for complex engineering issues and incidents.
• Lead advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective action implementation.
• Develop and maintain engineering standards, procedures, and operational best practices.
• Review and approve engineering documentation, including SOPs and maintenance strategies.
• Support commissioning, IST, infrastructure upgrades, and operational readiness for new facilities.
• Drive preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to maximize asset reliability.
• Monitor equipment health, reliability trends, and KPIs for continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
• Collaborate with Facility Managers, Project Engineers, OEMs, and vendors to optimize performance.
