Job summary

Alfred H Knight is seeking a Site Supervisor for PT AHK Testing Indonesia in Indonesia Morowali Industrial Park, Central Sulawesi. You will oversee the laboratory team, ensure accurate analyses for nickel matte and raw materials, and act as a liaison between the Site Manager and staff to maintain ISO compliance.

The role requires leadership in a high-compliance environment with strong organizational and mentoring abilities.

Qualifications

• Expertise in laboratory techniques and equipment (IRS, Calorimeter, Ultimate Analyzer).
• Plan and implement laboratory method development and validation work.
• Knowledge of quality control procedures and ISO standards (ISO 17025, 45001, 14001).
• Strong organizational abilities to manage workflows, schedules and resources.
• Effective communication with staff, clients and stakeholders.

PT AHK Testing Indonesia provides independent analysis and inspection services to the metals, minerals and solid fuels industries. The Site Supervisor plays a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of the laboratory team, ensuring that all analytical tasks for nickel matte and raw materials are completed with high accuracy. Acting as a bridge between the Site Manager and the laboratory, preparation, and sampling staff, this role ensures all processes are conducted in strict compliance with ISO 17025, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards. To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Essential

• Expertise in laboratory techniques and equipment, including IRS, Calorimeter, and Ultimate Analyzer.


• Ability to plan and implement laboratory method development and validation work.


• Knowledgeable in implementing and maintaining quality control procedures and ensuring compliance with ISO standards (ISO 17025, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001).


• Strong organizational abilities to manage laboratory workflows, schedules, and resources effectively.


• Effective communication skills for interacting with staff, clients, and other stakeholders.


• Strong troubleshooting and general problem-solving abilities.

Required Work Experience

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Laboratory Supervisor and/or 5 years as a Laboratory Analyst/Chemist.


• Proven experience in managing laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance and quality control.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field.


• Fluency in Mandarin (both oral and written) is essential for supervising staff and coordinating operations.


• Willingness to be placed in Indonesia Morowali Industrial Park (IMIP), Central Sulawesi.
