Job summary

Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk in Tangerang seeks a Laboratory Analyst to join the Quality Control / Laboratory team. You will perform analyses on raw materials and animal feed, follow established testing methods, and report results accurately and promptly.

In addition, you will implement 5S in the lab, enforce OHS standards, and manage reagents and equipment. You will maintain records, coordinate with other departments, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Perform and prepare raw material and animal feed analyses using established methods.
• Ensure results are accurate, valid, and reported within turnaround time.
• Maintain 5S in the laboratory and comply with OHS/K3 standards.
• Manage inventories of reagents, consumables, and equipment.
• Document and control laboratory records; ensure SOPs are up to date.
• Coordinate with departments to support quality control activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and productivity initiatives.

Job description

Job Title: Laboratory Analyst Department: Quality Control / Laboratory Location: Feed Tangerang

Key Responsibilities

• 1. Laboratory Analysis Perform and prepare raw material and animal feed analyses in accordance with established testing methods and laboratory standards. Conduct laboratory testing for the following parameters: MoistureProteinFatFiberCalciumSodiumRing TestReference Test Store and manage raw material samples in accordance with applicable procedures. Ensure analysis results are accurate, valid, and completed within the established turnaround time. Prepare and report laboratory analysis results accurately and in a timely manner.
• 2. Laboratory Safety & Housekeeping Implement 5S practices (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, and Shitsuke) within the laboratory area. Comply with and enforce Occupational Health and Safety (OHS/K3) standards and regulations. Maintain cleanliness, organization, safety, and a comfortable working environment in the laboratory. Participate in accident prevention initiatives and identify potential workplace hazards.
• 3. Inventory Management Manage inventories of chemical reagents, consumables, and laboratory equipment. Monitor stock availability to ensure uninterrupted laboratory testing activities and NIR operations. Maintain inventory records and prepare periodic inventory reports. Ensure efficient and proper utilization of laboratory materials and equipment in accordance with procedures.
• 4. Documentation & Data Management Ensure the availability, completeness, and accuracy of laboratory documents and records. Maintain the confidentiality of laboratory data and analysis results. Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and supporting documents are updated as required. Organize and maintain laboratory data and documentation systematically for easy retrieval and traceability.
• 5. Coordination & Communication Coordinate with relevant departments to support quality control activities. Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, subordinates, and other stakeholders. Uphold the company’s positive image through compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.
• 6. Continuous Improvement Enhance professional competencies through relevant learning and training activities. Provide recommendations and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase laboratory efficiency and effectiveness. Support the implementation of quality improvement and productivity enhancement programs.
• 7. Other Assigned Duties Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor within the scope of the position and operational requirements of the company.
