Job summary

Perhotelan is seeking a motivated kitchen helper to assist in food preparation and cooking in our hotel. You will follow recipe standards, maintain hygiene, and support the Chef to ensure meals meet quality and safety expectations.

Responsibilities include washing, cutting, weighing ingredients, and preparing items for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or banquet. The role requires discipline, teamwork, shift work, and the ability to work under busy conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum SMA/SMK education, preferably Culinary/Hospitality.
• Experience in kitchen/hotel/restaurant is an added value.
• Understand basic food preparation and cooking.
• Understand basic hygiene and food safety.
• Able to work in busy conditions and follow shift work system.
• Able to work cooperatively in a team.
• Disciplined, responsible, and maintain personal hygiene and work area cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Perform food preparation such as washing, cutting, weighing, and preparing ingredients according to operational needs.
• Ensure food ingredients are in good condition and fit for use.
• Assist in preparing ingredients for breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquet, or other outlet needs.
• Process and cook food according to recipe and direction from supervisor.
• Maintain taste, quality, texture, and appearance of food according to hotel standards.
• Assist cooking process in the assigned section by Chef.
• Support smooth kitchen operations during working hours.
• Prepare equipment and utensils needed before production process.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area, equipment, utensils, and food ingredients.
• Follow hygiene and food safety standards applied by the hotel.
