Job summary

KOPIKINA INDONESIA in Jakarta Utara is seeking a dedicated kitchen helper to support daily cooking, washing, cutting, and basic prep tasks. You will assist cooks, help with marinating and portioning, and maintain clean prep stations.

The role requires at least 1 year in a professional kitchen, a high school or vocational culinary background, good hygiene, teamwork, and the ability to follow instructions. Flexible to shifts, including weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• High school or vocational school graduate in Culinary Arts or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen, café, or F&B environment.
• Willing to perform basic kitchen tasks (washing, cutting, cleaning, stocking).
• Good understanding of hygiene, cleanliness, and teamwork.
• Able to follow instructions and work under supervision.
• Flexible to work in shifts, including weekends or public holidays if needed.

Responsibilities

• Wash, peel, and cut vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients.
• Assist in marinating, portioning, and organizing ingredients before cooking.
• Prepare basic items such as sauces, garnishes, or dressings under supervision.
• Support cooks and chefs during busy hours with plating and prep work.
• Monitor food storage and alert the team when ingredients are low or nearing expiry.
• Refill and organize prep stations throughout the shift.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, tools, and working areas.
• Dispose of trash and food waste properly and regularly.
• Ensure all food prep is done in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Receive and store deliveries, checking for quality and quantity.
• Label and date all stored items appropriately.
• Help with stock rotation (FIFO – First In, First Out).
