Job summary

Kerry in Karawang, Indonesia, is seeking a detail-oriented Taste sample production specialist to support end-to-end flavour development for savoury and sweet profiles. This full-time position involves running multiple processes and collaborating with internal and external customers.

You will oversee blending, encapsulation, and sensory evaluation, analyze data, and provide recommendations, while mentoring the local RDA Taste Team and ensuring EHS compliance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in flavour processing (encapsulation, emulsions, liquids, dry blending, reactions).
• Basic sensory evaluation knowledge and proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Create flavour samples for internal and external customer projects.
• Manage RM and product stock analysis to meet SLA targets.
• Conduct and evaluate sensory analysis with datasets.
• Provide final recommendations based on evaluation results.
• Lead and support the RDA Taste Team in Karawang and related stakeholders.
• Ensure EHS compliance in all RD&A activities.

Reporting To RDA Manager, Taste

This role is a full-time daily active role to help Taste Team in Kerry for end-to-end flavour sample creation to support both internal & external customer request. Successful applicant will need to run full flavour sample creation in liquid, dry-blending, encapsulation, reaction, and emulsion both for savoury & sweet flavours, conduct basic evaluation & sensory tasting with related team, data evaluation & final recommendation of the sample flavours, also provide team leadership with process improvement inputs to always excellence the whole Taste Team workflows. However, not limited to mentioned above role functions to maintain smooth process around the RDA Taste Team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct flavour sample creation to support internal & external customer based on project request.
• Manage RMs & products stock analysis to always hit the SLA agreement target with related stakeholders.
• Conduct and evaluate sensory analysis with related team based on the available datasets.
• Gives final recommendation for process & product based on the evaluation result.
• Lead and support whole RDA Taste Team in Karawang and around it, while also related stakeholders to achieve Kerry’s excellence and sustainability vision & mission.
• Responsible to follow & maintain EHS compliance in all activities related and around RD&A

Qualifications and skills

• Diploma or above in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or anything of similar background.
• Minimum 2 years experience to flavour process in encapsulation, emulsion, liquid & dry blending, also reaction process
• Understanding basic sensory and analysis evaluation, able to operate Ms. Office and SAP ERP system.
• Intermediate knowledge in continuous improvement or Green-belt Six Sigma is a plus.
