Job summary

Sentuh Design Studio, an independent interior design practice based in Seminyak, Bali, seeks a Junior Interior Designer to support ongoing projects and contribute to studio development. You’ll work closely with the Design Director, translating concepts into presentations, drawings and documentation across multiple stages of the interior design process.

Ideal candidates have a foundation in interior design, good English communication, and a proactive, organized approach.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and updating AutoCAD drawings.
• Developing layouts and space planning.

• Producing coloured elevations and digital material boards.
• Researching materials, furniture, lighting and interior products.
• Assisting with FF&E schedules and specifications.
• Developing 3D models and renders to communicate design intent.
• Coordinating information with external 3D visualisation artists when required.
• Preparing design presentations and project documentation.
• Assisting with design development and coordination.
• Supporting the Design Director with day-to-day project requirements.

Sentuh Design is an independent interior design practice based in Seminyak, Bali, working on bespoke projects for private clients and international developments.

Our work spans multiple sectors, including hospitality, commercial, wellness, residential, cafés, gyms, watersports facilities, clubhouses and other premium lifestyle spaces.

We are a small, growing practice looking to welcome a Junior Interior Designer to support our ongoing projects and contribute to the continued development of the studio.

You will work directly alongside the Design Director, gaining practical experience across different stages of the interior design process, from initial concepts and space planning through to design development, presentations and technical documentation.

This is an opportunity to develop your skills within a growing design practice, take on increasing responsibility and gain exposure to a broad range of projects.

About the Role

As a Junior Interior Designer, you will support the Design Director with the development and delivery of interior design projects.

You will be involved in a variety of design tasks, helping translate concepts and ideas into well-considered design presentations, drawings and documentation.

The role will involve both creative and technical responsibilities, requiring someone who is organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working across different project stages.

Interior Design Responsibilities

• Preparing and updating AutoCAD drawings.
• Developing layouts and space planning.
• Assisting with the development of design concepts and presentations.
• Preparing look & feel presentations and design boards.

• Researching materials, furniture, lighting and interior products.

Desired Skills & Software

Experience with the following software is highly regarded:

• AutoCAD.
• SketchUp.
• V-Ray, Enscape or other rendering software.
• AI tools used to improve design workflows.

You do not need to be an expert in everything listed above. We are looking for someone with a good foundation in interior design, a willingness to learn and the ability to develop their technical skills.

Location Requirement

Applicants must currently be based in Bali or be willing to relocate to Bali at their own cost and through their own arrangements.

What We Offer

This is an opportunity to work directly with the Design Director within a small and developing interior design practice.

You will receive direct guidance, mentoring and feedback, with exposure to the wider design process rather than being limited to one specific area of a larger design department.

As the practice grows, there will be opportunities to take on greater responsibility and develop into a more senior design role.

Working Hours

This is a full-time position with the following working hours:

• Monday to Friday: 10:30 - 19:30
• Break: 1 hour
• Normal working time: 8 hours per day

Occasionally, some additional flexibility may be required to ensure that agreed tasks, project deadlines or deliverables are completed. This will be on an occasional basis and is not considered part of the normal daily working schedule.
