Responsibilities

Role Description

The Junior Cook (Pastry) is a full-time, on-site role based in Kuta, supporting pastry production for Shishi Izakaya Lounge & Nightclub, Malverde Tequileria, and Bali Bulldog. The role involves preparing and baking pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to recipes and brand standards. Daily tasks include measuring ingredients, mixing doughs and batters, assisting with plating and presentation, and maintaining proper storage of ingredients and finished products. The Junior Cook (Pastry) follows hygiene and safety procedures, keeps workstations clean and organized, and supports senior kitchen staff during service. The role also contributes ideas for new pastry items and improves existing recipes under guidance from the pastry and kitchen leadership team.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Baking and Cooking for pastries and desserts.
• Candidates should possess skills in Bakery operations, including basic pastry techniques and handling baking equipment.
• Candidates should possess strong Creativity Skills to contribute to product presentation and new menu ideas.
• Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Hygiene standards and food safety practices in a professional kitchen.
• Prior experience in a bakery, pastry kitchen, or restaurant environment is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by outlet operations.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic culinary education or relevant vocational training in pastry or baking is an advantage.
