Job summary

Dharma Uluwatu in Bali's Kuta Selatan is looking for a Junior Barista to join our vibrant hospitality team. This full-time role offers hands-on coffee training and a chance to develop both barista skills and guest service expertise.

You will work with an experienced beverage team to craft espresso-based drinks, maintain clean equipment, and provide warm, attentive service while upholding our standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, espresso-based drinks, and other beverages according to our recipes and quality standards
• Operate and maintain espresso machines and other coffee equipment, ensuring proper cleaning and upkeep
• Provide exceptional customer service, taking orders accurately and delivering drinks with professionalism and warmth
• Maintain a clean and organised workstation, adhering to health and hygiene standards at all times
• Develop knowledge of our coffee offerings, including beans, roasts, and flavour profiles, to provide informed recommendations to guests
• Support senior baristas and bartenders in service delivery during peak and quiet periods
• Contribute to a positive team environment through collaboration and communication with colleagues
• Handle cash transactions and point-of-sale systems accurately
• Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management of beverage supplies

About the role

Dharma Uluwatu is seeking a Junior Barista to join our dynamic hospitality team at our Kuta Selatan, Bali location. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to develop your coffee-making skills and hospitality expertise in a fast‑paced, customer-focused environment. As a Junior Barista, you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional beverage experiences to our guests, working collaboratively with our experienced bar and beverage team to maintain the highest standards of service and quality.

Key responsibilities

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a barista role, hospitality setting, or similar customer‑facing position

Strong passion for coffee and commitment to delivering quality beverages

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine desire to provide outstanding customer service

Physical ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast‑paced environment

Attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and procedures consistently

Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays

Willingness to learn and develop your barista skills through training and feedback

Reliability, punctuality, and professional attitude

Understanding of health and safety requirements in food and beverage service

Preferred: Barista certification or relevant hospitality qualifications
