Mandarin Oriental Jakarta is seeking a Junior Sous Chef Bakery to join the Restaurants, Bars & Experiences - Kitchen team. Based in Jakarta, you will assist senior pastry chefs and supervise kitchen staff in daily bakery operations, ensuring high-quality dishes and adherence to hygiene standards.

You will contribute to menu planning, inventory control, and staff development, while maintaining a positive, professional work environment in a luxury hotel setting.

Formación

• Solid understanding of gastronomy principles.
• Experience with a wide range of kitchen equipment.
• Basic computer skills and software familiarity.
• Strong attention to detail in fast-paced kitchens.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Excellent team player with a pleasant, outgoing personality.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in daily bakery kitchen operations under the Sous Chef.
• Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate tasks.
• Prepare and cook dishes to high standards.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization and safety in the kitchen.
• Assist in menu planning, inventory and ordering.
• Support senior chefs in food preparation and plating.
