Job summary

PT Arnawarma Mineral Jaya is seeking a Mine Planning Engineer to assist in developing and maintaining mine plans for nickel operations. You will support data collection, validation, and interpretation to inform planning decisions and help prepare schedules, forecasts, and extraction sequences.

You will collaborate with geology and operations, use Datamine Studio or Vulcan for modelling, and prepare reports and presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Nickel Mining.
• Strong understanding of mine planning principles, methodologies and best practices.
• Knowledge of nickel mining operations and processing is advantageous.
• Proficiency in mine planning software such as Datamine Studio, Vulcan, or equivalent tools.
• Competency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and develop technical expertise.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic operational environment.
• Previous experience in mine planning or a related engineering role is preferred.
• Familiarity with Indonesian mining regulations and standards is desirable.

Responsibilities

Conduct pit optimisation studies and assess the economic viability of mining scenarios

Utilise mine planning software and tools to model and simulate mining scenarios

Prepare technical reports and presentations summarising mine planning analyses and recommendations

Monitor and update mine plans based on actual production data and changing operational conditions

Support compliance with mining regulations and industry best practices

Participate in site visits and field assessments as required

What we're looking for
