Job summary

BOTTEGA ITALIANA BALI is seeking a reliable and motivated Assistant Cook to join our Production Team. You will support the kitchen in preparing Italian dishes and ingredients for our restaurants, while maintaining quality, hygiene, and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen or food production preferred.
• Able to follow recipes and kitchen SOPs accurately.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Good understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Cook and Production Kitchen team in daily food preparation and production.
• Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, meat, sauces, pasta, and other Italian components according to recipes and SOPs.
• Assist with cooking, portioning, plating preparation, and food packing as required.
• Follow standardized recipes, portion sizes, and production procedures.
• Ensure all ingredients and food products are properly stored, labeled, and handled.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, equipment, and work area.
• Follow FIFO and proper food storage procedures.
• Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before preparation.
• Support daily production according to the required quantity and schedule.
• Assist with receiving and organizing ingredients when required.
• Minimize food waste and use ingredients efficiently.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and company SOPs.
• Perform other kitchen and production duties assigned by the Chef or Supervisor.
