Job summary

PT Gudang Kripto Indonesia seeks an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to manage cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and databases in production. You will contribute to cloud migrations, security hardening, and sustaining high availability for a 24/7 crypto platform.

The role requires hands-on Linux administration, IaC with Terraform/Ansible, and strong scripting skills. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and on-call rotation are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT Infrastructure, DevOps, or Systems Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience administering Linux servers in production environments.
• Proven experience managing containerized workloads and Kubernetes orchestrations (EKS, CCE, or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts (VPCs, subnets, routing, load balancers, DNS, firewalls, VPNs).
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure, or Huawei Cloud).
• Experience administering relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) including backup, recovery, replication, and tuning.
• Hands-on experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible) and scripting (Bash/Python).
• Good understanding of infrastructure security, least privilege, network segmentation, secrets management.
• Strong documentation and change-management discipline in regulated environments.
• Good written and verbal English for technical documentation and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Implement infrastructure security best practices including IAM, patching, and credential rotation.
• Develop backup, DR, and business-continuity procedures with regular testing.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation and runbooks for audit readiness and operations.
• Participate in on-call rotation to respond to production incidents.

What You Will Do

Manage and maintain our cloud infrastructure, including Kubernetes clusters, cloud networking (VPCs, subnets, security groups), and supporting infrastructure components.

Participate in ongoing cloud migration projects, including infrastructure design, provisioning, cutover execution, and post-migration validation.

Administer production and staging PostgreSQL databases, including configuration, backup and recovery, restore drills, and performance monitoring.

Build and maintain centralized monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to proactively detect issues before they impact users.

Maintain and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines for development, staging, and production deployments.

Implement infrastructure security best practices, including identity and access management, privilege management, system patching, credential rotation, and remediation of penetration testing findings.

Develop and execute backup, disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity procedures, including regular recovery testing.

Maintain comprehensive infrastructure documentation, including network topology, asset inventory, and incident runbooks to support daily operations and OJK audit requirements.

Participate in the on-call rotation to respond to and resolve production incidents.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT Infrastructure, DevOps, or Systems Engineering.

Strong hands-on experience administering Linux servers in production environments.

Proven experience managing containerized workloads and Kubernetes orchestration platforms (Amazon EKS, Huawei CCE, or equivalent), beyond simply deploying workloads with kubectl apply.

Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, routing, load balancers, DNS, firewalls, and VPNs.

Experience with at least one major cloud platform, such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, or Huawei Cloud.

Experience administering relational databases (PostgreSQL and/or MySQL), including backup, recovery, replication, and basic performance tuning.

Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools) and scripting using Bash and/or Python.

Good understanding of infrastructure security principles, including the principle of least privilege, network segmentation, and secrets management.

Strong attention to documentation and change management. In a regulated industry, undocumented changes can become audit findings.

Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to use English for technical documentation and cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a cryptocurrency exchange, fintech, banking, or payment systems environment.

Experience leading or participating in cloud migration projects between cloud providers, from planning through production cutover.

Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001, OJK regulations related to information security, or IT audit requirements.

Experience remediating penetration testing findings and collaborating with cybersecurity vendors.

Basic understanding of infrastructure supporting digital asset platforms and cryptographic key management.
