Job summary

ICEx Group, through Indonesia Crypto Exchange (ICEx), seeks a backend engineer proficient in Go to design and maintain scalable services. Qualifications

• 2–4 years backend software development experience.
• At least 1–2 years writing production-grade Go.
• Strong Go mechanics, including concurrency and memory management.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) including index optimization and transactions.
• Exposure to asynchronous event-driven architectures using message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis Streams).
• Hands-on with Docker and microservice patterns.
• Domain background in fintech, order matching, clearing, banking integrations, or payments.
• Familiarity with AI-augmented development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot).
• Knowledge of blockchain infrastructure (EVM, JSON-RPC, on-chain event indexing).
• Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry) and cloud-native deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Go services that are modular and maintainable.
• Architect and optimize low-latency REST and gRPC APIs for high concurrency.
• Build data ingestion pipelines and ledger/state-management workflows using relational/in-memory stores.
• Write unit, benchmark, and integration tests for deterministic behavior under stress.
• Incorporate AI coding assistants and modern tooling to speed prototyping and reviews.
• Troubleshoot production issues in containerized environments, analyze profiling data and traces to remove bottlenecks.

Role Description

Robust backend architecture, asynchronous message pipelines, and data-integrity-focused services where correctness, concurrency, and performance are paramount.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years of backend software development experience, with at least 1–2 years writing production-grade Go (Golang).
• Solid grasp of core Go mechanics, including concurrency models (goroutines, channels, sync primitives), error handling, and memory management.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) including index optimization, transactional isolation, and schema design.
• Hands-on familiarity with asynchronous event-driven architectures using message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Redis Streams).
• Practical exposure to containerization (Docker) and modern microservice deployment patterns.
• Prior domain background in fintech, order matching systems, clearing, banking integrations, or payment processors.
