Job summary

Mastercard Indonesia seeks a Business Development Director, Digital Acceptance to drive strategic partnerships and growth across Indonesia's digital ecosystem. You will shape the acceptance strategy with merchants, platforms and payment partners, and lead cross‑functional efforts to improve online card acceptance and usage.

The role requires strong commercial judgment, payments expertise, and the ability to influence stakeholders at senior levels in a fast-paced digital payments environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in business development or market development within payments, digital commerce or financial services.
• Experience working with digital merchants, platforms, marketplaces, fintechs or similar participants in payments.
• Understanding of card payments, merchant acquiring, digital acceptance and e‑commerce models.
• Experience owning commercial, revenue or P&L targets.
• Track record of building strategic partnerships and driving transaction growth.
• Ability to identify market opportunities and translate them into practical commercial strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in Bahasa Indonesia and English.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage long-term relationships with strategic digital players as the lead commercial partner.
• Develop and execute Mastercard's digital acceptance strategy across Indonesia.
• Lead end-to-end engagement with platforms, marketplaces and merchants to increase acceptance.
• Translate market opportunities into partnership and market-development plans.
• Create commercial propositions and transaction economics to increase card acceptance and usage.
• Collaborate with product, services, marketing and account management to deliver integrated solutions.
• Provide market intelligence and insights to inform strategy and growth priorities.
• Deliver against commercial, revenue and strategic objectives with strong execution ownership.
