Job summary

PT Graha Bumi Hijau in Indonesia seeks an Instrumentation and Control Engineer to design and develop instrumentation and control systems for industrial processes, install transmitters, controllers, PLCs, and ensure safe operation.

You will monitor field equipment, verify loops, contribute to project schedules, and produce regular reports while coordinating with site teams. A diploma or bachelor's in Electrical/Instrumentation engineering and at least 2 years of hands-on experience are required.

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 2 years of professional experience in instrumentation and control systems.
Hands-on experience with instrumentation equipment including pressure transmitters, temperature sensors, flow meters, and level indicators.
Proficiency in technical drawing and CAD software.
Solid understanding of control theory, process automation, and feedback control systems.
Knowledge of safety standards such as OSHA, API, and IEC relevant to industrial control systems.
Experience with DCS is a plus.
Technical certifications in PLC or automation systems preferred.

Responsibilities

Design and develop instrumentation and control systems for industrial processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Install, configure, and commission control equipment including sensors, transmitters, controllers, and PLC systems.
Monitor the installation of field equipment, instrumentation, control systems, cable trays, pneumatic systems, and hydraulic systems.
Monitor project schedules and implementation progress in accordance with the established project timeline.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to instrumentation and automation activities.
Coordinate with contractors, mechanical, civil, and HSE teams regarding site activities and project execution.
Perform verification of instrumentation loops and field devices connected to the control system, ensuring that all signals are accurately received and displayed on the DCS.
