OBAYASHI-WIJAYA KARYA-JFE ENGINEERING-JAYA KONSTRUKSI JOINT VENTURE in Jakarta is seeking an experienced Instrument Engineer to join our EPC project team for a wastewater treatment plant construction project.

You will design instrumentation, prepare technical specifications, review vendor documents, participate in FAT, and support testing, commissioning, and handover, collaborating closely with mechanical, civil, and SCADA teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in instrumentation engineering for industrial plants.
• Experience in EPC projects preferred.
• Experience with wastewater treatment projects is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop instrumentation equipment lists based on P&ID and process requirements.
• Prepare hook-up drawings and installation details.
• Coordinate technical requirements with Mechanical and Piping teams.
• Support instrumentation design and engineering activities.
• Prepare and review material requisitions and technical specifications.
• Evaluate vendor proposals and technical submissions.
• Review and approve vendor drawings and technical documents.
• Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Participate in FAT for monitoring systems.
• Support installation verification and loop checking.
• Supervise testing and commissioning activities.
• Perform interface testing between instrumentation systems and SCADA.
• Support site acceptance tests and project handover activities.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Instrument Engineer to join our EPC project team for a wastewater treatment plant construction project in Jakarta. This role will be responsible for instrumentation engineering activities including design, procurement support, vendor coordination, testing, and commissioning throughout the project lifecycle.

The Instrument Engineer will coordinate closely with clients, consultants, vendors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams including mechanical and civil departments to ensure successful project execution. Responsibilities include preparation of technical specifications, review of vendor documents, FAT participation, installation support, interface testing, and commissioning of instrumentation and monitoring systems.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in instrumentation engineering for industrial plant projects and is familiar with EPC project environments. Experience in wastewater treatment projects and SCADA interface testing will be considered an advantage.
