Job summary

Schneider Electric’s Test & Industrialization Engineering Intern will support PCBAs and product test processes, collaborating with manufacturing, quality, design and operations to gain hands-on experience inindustrialization, test engineering, process optimization and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Active diploma/bachelor’s degree student (max. 7th semester) majoring in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Mechatronics or Manufacturing Engineering or related disciplines.
  • Basic understanding of electronics and circuit fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and apply engineering concepts in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support production process development by collecting operational data and assisting with implementation activities.
  • Track performance metrics to help identify opportunities for efficiency, quality, and cost improvements.
  • Collaborate with team members across production and supply chain functions on active projects.
  • Aid in learning how industrial operations and supply chain work together to optimize business outcomes.

Job Description:

The Test & Industrialization Engineering Intern will support the Industrialization PCBA and Product Test team in developing, improving, and validating manufacturing and test processes for Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs) and electronic products. The intern will work closely with engineers across manufacturing, quality, design, and operations to gain hands‑on experience in product industrialization, test engineering, process optimization, and continuous improvement activities.

This internship provides an opportunity to learn about electronics manufacturing, production testing, process validation, and new product introduction (NPI) within a high-technology environment.

What qualifications will make you successful:
Required:
  • Active diploma/bachelor's degree student (max. 7th semester) majoring in one of the following:
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Electronics Engineering
    • Computer Engineering
    • Mechatronics Engineering
    • Manufacturing Engineering
    • Related Engineering disciplines
  • Basic understanding of electronics and circuit fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and apply engineering concepts in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred:
  • Basic knowledge of PCBAs and electronic components.
  • Familiarity with test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, or logic analyzers.
  • Exposure to programming or scripting languages such as Python, C/C++, or VBA.
  • Understanding of manufacturing, quality, or test engineering concepts.
