Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking engineering students for an internship focused on automation, digitization, and test-and-learning of control systems. You will participate in design, development, and documentation efforts, collaborate across teams, and explore emerging automation technologies.

Ideal candidates are pursuing degrees in Automation, Electrical, or Mechatronics, with fundamentals in PLCs, industrial protocols, and ladder logic.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, preferably in Automation, Electrical, Mechatronic or a related field.
  • Knowledge of automation technologies, PLC programming, and control systems.
  • Familiarity with Modbus, Profibus, or Ethernet/IP.
  • Basic understanding of electrical circuits and wiring diagrams.
  • Proficiency in ladder logic, structured text, or function block diagram.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a passion for automation, IoT & digitization

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of standard template for digitalization and software assessment.
  • Collaborate with the team to analyze requirements, identify Digitization opportunities, and propose solutions.
  • Support the implementation and troubleshooting of automation equipment and control systems.
  • Participate in the digital transformation assessment.
  • Conduct research on emerging automation technologies and provide recommendations.
  • Assist in documenting technical specifications, user manuals, and SOPs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions.
  • Attend team meetings, training, and workshops to enhance knowledge.
