Job summary

TikTok Indonesia is seeking a business development lead to scale merchant recruitment and cultivate a robust local partner ecosystem. The role requires deep knowledge of Indonesia's merchant landscape and strong negotiation skills, with fluency in Indonesian and English.

You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to drive multi-channel recruitment and co-construction initiatives, including offline events and localized campaigns, ensuring timely delivery and measurable impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above.
• 3+ years in e-commerce / internet BD, channel expansion, or investment promotion.
• Deep understanding of Indonesia's local merchant ecosystem and strong local network.
• Familiar with platform-hosted or hybrid business models and metrics like GMV growth and merchant ROI.
• Excellent BD expansion and negotiation skills, able to create partnerships from scratch and drive joint projects.

Responsibilities

• Implement merchant recruitment strategies aligned with growth objectives and recruit high-quality Indonesian merchants.
• Expand and operate the local partner ecosystem with agents, service providers, and tool partners; plan joint investments and events.
• Coordinate with BPO and internal BD to optimize the Reach-Interest-Register-Approval funnel and improve recruitment efficiency.
• Provide market insights and strategy outputs on Indonesia's e-commerce landscape; support HQ and local teams with localization investment recommendations.
• Lead cross-team collaboration with operations, marketing, product, Legal, finance, and regional teams to deliver high-impact projects on time.
