Overview
Import Planning Analyst to manage the end-to-end import process of finished good tires. Plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and compliant flow of imported finished good tires.
Responsibilities
- Import Process Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute all import activities from order placement with suppliers to final delivery at the distribution center or warehouse.
- Prepare, review, and manage all necessary import documentation (e.g., commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, customs declarations) to ensure accuracy and compliance for import tires.
- Collaborate closely with sales, inventory management, and warehousing teams to understand import requirements, sales forecasts, and delivery schedules for import tires.
- Coordinate with logistics providers (ocean carriers, air freight, trucking companies) to optimize transportation routes, modes, and costs for large volumes of import tires, including container optimization and consolidation.
- Track and trace inbound shipments, providing regular updates to relevant stakeholders on delivery status and potential delays for import tire inventory.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction in import logistics, duties, and fees for import tires without compromising service levels or compliance.
- Analyze import lead times and identify bottlenecks or areas for process improvement to enhance supply chain efficiency for import tire distribution.
- Propose and implement strategies to mitigate risks associated with international shipping and customs for import tire supply chains.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of all import transactions, costs, and performance metrics for import tires.
- Prepare regular reports on import volumes, costs, lead times, and compliance status for management review, focusing on impact on import tire availability and sales.
- Utilize data to identify trends, forecast future import needs, and support strategic decision-making for import tire supply chain optimization.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs, and Incoterms
- Proficient in logistics systems and ERP (e.g., SAP)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy and compliance mindset
- Able to work independently and in cross-functional teams
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Proficient in Ms. Excel & Ms. Word
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia & English (spoken and written)
- Understands manufacturing business processes
