Job summary

NinjaOne is seeking a Release Engineer to join the Engineering team, blending hands-on release operations with program management to optimize release planning and automation.

The ideal candidate will coordinate across Engineering, QA, DevOps/SiteOps, Product, and Production Support, drive milestones, manage risks, and help automate the release process while ensuring production readiness and smooth deployments.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Release Engineering, DevOps, Build Engineering, or related role.
• Hands-on CI/CD automation and Git workflow knowledge: branches, PRs, merges, tags, versioning.
• Scripting or programming in Python/Go/Bash with deployment and rollback experience.
• Experience troubleshooting build, pipeline, deployment, config and environment issues; familiarity with AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Strong coordination of technical initiatives across multiple teams with minimal overhead.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end release program across Engineering, QA, Product, DevOps/SiteOps, and Production Support.
• Set milestones, timelines, dependencies and readiness criteria; maintain visibility of release scope.
• Track dependencies, risks and blockers; escalate material risks early to leadership.
• Facilitate release planning, readiness reviews, go/no-go discussions, and post-release reviews.
• Write tested release automation, maintain runbooks, release calendars, dashboards and metrics.
