Job summary

Bitera DC is seeking an experienced HSE Specialist to implement and maintain OHS and environmental management systems aligned with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 for our Jakarta data center.

You will conduct site inspections, safety audits, risk assessments, manage the permit‑to‑work system for high‑risk activities, supervise contractors, lead safety trainings and drills, and report KPI data to support audits and inspections. Collaborating with facilities and operations teams is required.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the OHS and environmental management systems in line with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments (HIRARC/JSA).
• Manage the permit-to-work system for high‑risk activities.
• Supervise contractor and vendor safety performance and inductions.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; report root causes and corrective actions.
• Plan and run HSE training, emergency drills, and safety campaigns.
• Prepare HSE performance reports and KPIs and support audits and government inspections.

Job description

• Implement and maintain the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and environmental management systems in line with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and applicable Indonesian regulations (including SMK3).
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments (HIRARC/JSA) across the data center facility and construction or expansion areas, and follow up on corrective actions until closed.
• Manage the permit-to-work system for high-risk activities such as working at height, hot works, confined space, electrical isolation, and lifting operations.
• Supervise contractor and vendor safety performance, including pre-qualification, safety induction, toolbox talks, and compliance with site safety requirements.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, determine root causes, and report findings and preventive actions to management.
• Plan and run HSE training, emergency response drills (fire, evacuation, power or cooling failure), and safety awareness campaigns for employees and contractors.
• Prepare HSE performance reports and KPIs (TRIR, LTI, near-miss rate), and support external audits, certification surveillance, and government inspections.
