Job summary

AYANA Hospitality is seeking an Engineering Technician to perform operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of utility plant systems as well as kitchen and laundry equipment. The role supports hotel engineering operations, food production, and housekeeping services to ensure reliable, safe, and efficient operation.

The ideal candidate has SMK or Diploma in mechanical/electrical fields, strong technical knowledge, and at least 2 years' experience in building maintenance.

Qualifications

• SMK or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
• Good spoken English and ability to read technical manuals.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in engineering or building maintenance operations.
• Experience in hotel engineering operations, central plant systems, kitchen or laundry equipment maintenance is preferred.
• Experience in 4- or 5-star hotel properties is an advantage.
• Strong technical knowledge of utility plant systems including chillers, boilers, pumps, compressors, and water treatment systems.
• Knowledge of steam, gas, and hot water distribution systems.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability management.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and coordination with operational departments.
• Knowledge of CMMS and engineering reporting systems.
• Knowledge of building safety regulations and fire safety standards.
