Job summary

Ascott Indonesia seeks an accomplished Hotel Manager to lead a premier property in Surabaya. You will direct operations, drive revenue growth, and ensure exceptional guest experiences while upholding the Ascott brand and sustainability goals.

You will manage owners and stakeholders, develop talent, and maintain rigorous governance, budgeting, and safety standards, contributing to long-term profitability and market leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related discipline.
• Min 5–10 years of senior leadership experience in hospitality, incl. Hotel Manager role.
• Experience with an international hotel or serviced residence operator is preferred.
• Sales or Commercial leadership experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of the Surabaya hospitality market and business landscape.
• Strong commercial background with proven sales, revenue growth and profitability.
• Proven ability to manage owner relationships and balance stakeholder expectations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and people development capabilities.
• Strong financial acumen with budgeting, forecasting and P&L accountability.
• Ability to make sound decisions in a dynamic environment.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall operations and strategic direction to hit revenue, profitability and guest satisfaction targets.
• Drive commercial performance via sales, marketing, distribution and revenue management.
• Develop and execute annual business plans, budgets, forecasts and initiatives.
• Build relationships with property owners, corporate clients and government partners.
• Champion guest experiences and service excellence, act on feedback.
• Ensure compliance with operating standards, governance, health & safety, and local rules.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team with coaching and succession planning.
• Foster collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement aligned with values.
• Drive efficiencies and productivity while maintaining service quality and brand standards.
• Represent property and brand in local market and events.
• Oversee crisis management, business continuity and risk management.
• Support sustainability and responsible business practices in daily ops.
