Job summary

Manulife is seeking a Health Pricing Team Lead in Jakarta to drive pricing strategy for health products. You will lead a team, review outputs, and coordinate with Product Proposition, Distribution, Finance, Risk and Operations to develop pricing that is profitable and sustainable.

You will deliver timely pricing recommendations, ensure robust documentation, and guide portfolio actions from concept through post-launch monitoring while coaching team members and building repeatable processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or related discipline; postgraduate degree is an advantage
• Associate actuarial qualification or progress toward fellowship; fellowship is an advantage
• At least 7 years of actuarial experience in health pricing/product development/portfolio management
• Experience leading projects and reviewing work of other actuaries; people-management experience is an advantage
• Strong understanding of actuarial pricing concepts, profitability measures and financial reporting

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate pricing activities for health products, repricing and portfolio actions of varying size and complexity
• Develop and review premium rates, benefit structures, pricing assumptions and profitability results in collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Balance profitability, customer value, and distribution needs while ensuring sustainability
• Maintain workplans, timelines and escalate delays or decisions to Health Pricing Officer
• Provide hands-on actuarial analysis and modelling support for complex initiatives
• Partner with Experience Study and Health Analytics to assess claims, persistency, utilization, expenses and portfolio experience
• Translate experience into pricing and portfolio management options with clear implications
• Monitor performance against pricing expectations and identify risks and opportunities
• Support governance, model validation and documentation for pricing outputs
• Contribute actuarial insights across product development from concept to post-launch monitoring
