Job summary

Manulife/John Hancock seeks a Health Pricing Team Lead to deliver accurate, governed actuarial pricing work and lead a team. You will coordinate pricing for new health products, repricing, and portfolio actions while ensuring robust documentation and cross‑functional collaboration across Finance, Risk and Operations.

Responsibilities include leading pricing governance, scenario testing, and providing actuarial insights through product development and strategic planning activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or a related discipline.
• A postgraduate degree is an advantage.
• Associate actuarial qualification or meaningful progress toward fellowship from a recognized actuarial organization.
• Fellowship is an advantage.
• At least 7 years of actuarial experience, including health pricing, repricing or portfolio management.

Responsibilities

• Health pricing delivery Lead and coordinate pricing activities for new health products, product enhancements, repricing, portfolio actions and business opportunities of varying size and complexity. Develop and review premium rates, benefit structures, pricing assumptions and profitability results in consultation with other teams.
• Portfolio management and repricing: translate experience into pricing, repricing and portfolio management options with clear financial, customer and implementation implications.
• Pricing governance and quality assurance: ensure pricing work follows policies and perform technical peer reviews before submission to senior officer; maintain audit-ready records.
• Product development and stakeholder partnership: contribute actuarial insight throughout the product development process and coordinate inputs with implementation teams.
• Business planning and management support: coordinate with pricing strategy, finance and distribution; provide timely management reporting and actuarial recommendations.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or related
