Qualifications

• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in garment sample production or similar
• Deep knowledge of garment construction, pattern making and fit techniques
• Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing procedures for garments
• Proven supervisory experience
• Ability to read technical drawings, specifications and patterns accurately
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the sample garment department, including supervising staff and coordinating daily operations
• Oversee the design and development of sample garments according to client specifications and design briefs
• Ensure quality control standards are maintained throughout the sampling process and inspections are conducted
• Collaborate with design, pattern-making and production teams to translate concepts into physical samples
• Review patterns, fit and construction methods to identify improvements and optimise efficiency
• Maintain accurate documentation of all sample production activities and specifications
• Manage timelines and deadlines to ensure samples are delivered on schedule
• Provide technical guidance and training on garment construction and quality standards
• Communicate with clients regarding development progress and required modifications
• Identify and resolve production issues and implement corrective actions
