Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, QA, or Industrial Engineering.
• 7–10 years of quality control/quality assurance experience in garment/textile.
• Experience leading QC teams and supervising technical staff.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and garment certifications (OEKO-TEX, BSCI).
• Proficiency in SPC and FMEA and quality management software.

Responsibilities

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Manager Quality Control (Garment) to join PT Gistex Garmen Indonesia in Bandung Regency, West Java. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of quality across our garment manufacturing operations. As Manager Quality Control, you will be responsible for overseeing all quality assurance and control activities, ensuring that our products consistently meet international standards and client specifications. This role is pivotal to our commitment to excellence and directly impacts our reputation in the global garment industry.

Key responsibilities

Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive quality control policies, procedures and standards across all manufacturing processes

Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, work-in-progress and finished garments to ensure compliance with quality specifications

Manage and supervise the quality control team, providing training, guidance and performance evaluation

Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality metrics to track manufacturing performance

Investigate quality issues, defects and non-conformances, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions

Collaborate with production, design and procurement teams to resolve quality-related concerns and prevent recurring issues

Maintain detailed quality documentation, reports and records in compliance with industry standards and client requirements

Conduct audits of manufacturing facilities and processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements

Liaise with clients and suppliers regarding quality specifications, certifications and compliance matters

Stay current with industry developments, quality standards and best practices in garment manufacturing

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Quality Assurance, Industrial Engineering or a related field

Minimum 7-10 years of experience in quality control and quality assurance within the garment or textile manufacturing industry

Proven experience managing quality control teams and supervising technical staff

Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing processes, from raw material to finished product

Familiarity with international quality standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and garment-specific certifications (e.g., OEKO-TEX, BSCI)

Proficiency in quality control tools and methodologies, including statistical process control (SPC) and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA)

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments

Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office applications

Fluency in Indonesian and English; additional languages are advantageous

Knowledge of textile testing equipment and laboratory operations is preferred

Experience with auditing and client compliance inspections is highly desirable
