• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in garment sample production or similar
• Deep knowledge of garment construction, pattern making and fit techniques
• Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing procedures for garments
• Proven supervisory experience
• Ability to read technical drawings, specifications and patterns accurately
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

About the role
PT Gistex Garmen Indonesia is seeking an experienced KABAG SAMPLE GARMENT to join our team in Cileunyi, West Java. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our garment manufacturing operations. As the head of the sample garment department, you will oversee the creation, development, and quality assurance of sample garments, ensuring they meet our stringent standards and client specifications. This role is pivotal to our production pipeline, directly impacting our ability to deliver high-quality prototypes and samples to our clients efficiently and effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the sample garment department, including supervising staff and coordinating daily operations
• Oversee the design and development of sample garments in accordance with client specifications and design briefs
• Ensure quality control standards are maintained throughout the sampling process, conducting thorough inspections and testing
• Collaborate with design, pattern-making and production teams to translate concepts into physical samples
• Review patterns, fit and construction methods to identify improvements and optimise efficiency
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of all sample production activities and specifications
• Manage timelines and deadlines to ensure samples are delivered on schedule
• Provide technical guidance and training to team members on garment construction and quality standards
• Communicate with clients regarding sample development progress and any modifications required
• Identify and resolve production issues, implementing corrective actions as needed

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in garment sample production or a similar role within the fashion and textile industry
• In-depth knowledge of garment construction, pattern making and fit techniques
• Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing procedures for garments
• Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity, managing teams and coordinating multiple projects
• Excellent technical proficiency with garment production equipment and tools
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and patterns accurately
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Experience with sample documentation and record-keeping systems
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards
• Proficiency in Indonesian and English languages is preferred
