Job summary

Adecco is seeking an experienced Head of Engineering to lead our technology organization, driving strategy for scalable fintech platforms and ensuring security, reliability, and performance across products and services.

The successful candidate will oversee architecture, DevOps, QA, and cross-functional collaboration with Product, Risk, and Operations to translate business goals into technical solutions, with a strong focus on SCF fintech capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 10–15 years of experience in technology and software engineering, with at least 5 years in senior engineering leadership roles.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams and managing end-to-end technology development.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, cloud infrastructure, APIs, microservices, and database management.
• Experience building and scaling technology platforms within the fintech, banking, digital lending, or financial services industry.
• Strong stakeholder management, strategic thinking, and leadership capabilities.
• Ability to balance technical excellence with business priorities.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the overall engineering strategy and technology roadmap in alignment with business objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams across software development, architecture, DevOps, and quality assurance.
• Establish engineering best practices, development standards, and technical governance.
• Drive a high-performance engineering culture focused on innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance technology platforms.
• Ensure system architecture supports business growth, transaction scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Drive the development and integration of APIs, microservices, and enterprise systems.
• Ensure platform reliability, system availability, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Work closely with Product, Business, Risk, and Operations teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Support the development and enhancement of fintech products and digital financial services.
• Drive technology initiatives that improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and business scalability.
• Provide technical insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Ensure technology platforms adhere to security standards, data protection requirements, and applicable financial industry regulations.
• Oversee engineering operations, system monitoring, incident management, and infrastructure optimization.
• Establish robust software testing, deployment, and release management processes.
