Macquarie Group is seeking a senior engineering leader to own the end-to-end technology of a core platform. You will partner with product and delivery leaders to translate architecture and design into robust, scalable delivery.

In this role you will define the engineering strategy and technical roadmap, drive CI/CD and production support, and champion continual process improvement while building an inclusive, high-performing team and a strong leadership bench for critical roles.

• Own the end-to-end technology of a core platform from architecture and design through development, testing and operations.
• Define and execute the engineering strategy, technical roadmap, and processes, including CI/CD and production support.
• Foster an innovative and inclusive engineering culture, attract, coach, develop and retain engineers, and build a strong leadership team with succession planning.
• Engage with architects and senior business stakeholders to understand and influence business and technology strategies.

You will work closely with product and delivery leaders and will be responsible for the end-to-end technology of a core platform. You will take ownership of products in iterative cycles from architecture and design through to development, testing, and operations. You will be accountable for defining and executing the engineering strategy, technical roadmap, and processes, including CI/CD, production support, and continual process improvement.

You will foster and nurture an innovative and inclusive engineering culture that encourages lateral thinking and early risk escalation while taking a collaborative approach to problem-solving. A key part of your role will be to attract, coach, develop and retain industry leading engineers, building a strong and effective leadership team and team composition including succession plan for all critical leadership roles. You will also engage with and be expected to maintain strong working relationships with architects and senior business stakeholders to understand and influence the business and technology strategies.
