Job summary

J-PAL Southeast Asia, based at UI Jakarta, seeks a Finance and Operations Associate (Grant) to streamline grant and finance processes, manage donor relations, and support budget and contract activities. You will coordinate with multiple teams and ensure timely reporting and compliance.

The role involves enhancing grant databases, coordinating with donors on invoices and deliverables, and contributing to the financial monitoring system with innovative approaches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field (accounting/finance, public administration, international development, law or communications).
• Up to two years of working experience.
• Experience in grants management and donor relationship management is an advantage.
• Experience in planning and budgeting process is preferable.
• Strong interpersonal skills, analytical abilities, detail-oriented and highly organized; capable of managing multiple projects with varying deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support fundraising and grants management, including updating funding opportunities and assisting proposal development.
• Coordinate contracting with donors and ensure obligations align with project objectives.
• Maintain grant databases, track deliverables, and manage donor communications and reporting.
• Assist the finance team in reviewing transactions, tracking payments, and identifying incoming funds from donors.
• Help develop and implement due diligence protocols and data management for contracts and legal documents.
• Provide financial training to project managers and contribute to monitoring systems using AI tools.
