Job summary

Alcon seeks a Sr. Manager, Strategic Sourcing (Management Path) to lead strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier relationships, driving cost savings and supply continuity.

You will guide cross-functional teams, develop robust business cases, and align localization strategies with senior leadership. The role emphasizes data analytics, direct materials expertise, and experience with SAP, Power BI, Alteryx, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
• Proven relationship-building capabilities across internal teams and external partners.
• Demonstrated expertise in Direct Materials (injection molding, devices, metals, chemicals).
• Strong analytical skills; proficiency in Excel with exposure to SAP, Power BI, Alteryx, and PowerPoint.
• Experience developing and executing global strategic sourcing strategies.
• Track record of managing regional and global RFPs.
• Strong negotiation skills involving complex supply agreements and third-party engagements.
• Ability to perform scenario modeling, business case development, and total cost of ownership (TCO) assessments.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity while driving results with clarity and focus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies that deliver cost savings and ensure supply continuity.
• Apply data analytics to identify trends and opportunities for sourcing initiatives.
• Manage site budgeting, spend variance analysis, and project coordination with MST team.
• Lead negotiations to secure supply of direct materials (metal, electronics, molded components).
• Support localization efforts for materials and capital equipment via collaborations with suppliers.
• Build and present business cases to leadership to align localization strategies and sourcing initiatives.
