Job summary

Clogent is seeking an Import Procurement professional in Jakarta Barat, Indonesia, to manage overseas purchasing, vendor coordination, and import documentation. The role requires 1–2 years of procurement experience and Mandarin written proficiency for vendor correspondence.

You will handle PO creation, shipment tracking, and market research to ensure stock continuity and favorable costs, collaborating with warehouse and finance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 1–2 years of Purchasing/Procurement experience, import experience preferred.
• Mandarin written proficiency required for overseas vendor correspondence.
• Understand basic import procedures and international trade documents.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to compare prices.
• Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets for data management and order tracking.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple orders with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overseas purchasing from supplier sourcing to delivery to local warehouse.
• Coordinate with international vendors on stock, specs, and PO quantities.
• Negotiate purchase prices to optimize margins.
• Prepare import documents for customs clearance.
• Create and manage Purchase Orders and monitor order status.
• Track overseas shipments and coordinate with logistics partners.
• Source alternate vendors to ensure stock continuity and procurement efficiency.
• Prepare monthly purchasing reports and monitor vendor price histories.
