Job summary

Mataram Consultancy in Indonesia is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead its human resources function, reporting to the COO with regular Board engagement across a diversified conglomerate.

You will own expatriate affairs, payroll processing, policy development, and compliance with Indonesian labour law, coordinating across multiple business units and a multicultural workforce. A bachelor’s degree and HR certification are preferred, with strategic advisory duties to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Senior HR leadership experience in a large, multi-business-unit organisation.
• Hands‑on experience managing expatriate immigration and work permit processes.
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian payroll and statutory compliance (BPJS, PPh 21).
• Ability to engage confidently at COO/Board level.”
• Comfortable operating across diverse nationalities and cultures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end HR function for a diversified conglomerate group.
• Own expatriate affairs - work permits (RPTKA/IMTA), KITAS/KITAP, and government liaison.
• Manage end-to-end payroll processing across all business units.
• Administer BPJS Employment and BPJS Kesehatan; ensure PPh 21 compliance.
• Develop HR policies for a diverse, multicultural workforce.
• Advise the COO and Board on organisational design and talent strategy.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
• Ensure full compliance with Indonesian labour law.
