Job summary

IIX seeks a Senior Director of Membership & Commercial Partnerships to lead the Orange Movement’s membership growth, onboarding, and retention, building a robust pipeline of financial institutions, corporates, and DFIs across Asia and beyond.

The role focuses on fee-based memberships and commercial partnerships, collaborating with regional leads and the IIX Innovative Finance team, to scale the movement into a self-sustaining institution with a strong governance framework.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or membership duties.
• Proven track record of selling paid memberships, sponsorships, or fee-based partnerships.
• Existing network among financial institutions, corporates, or DFIs in Asia, ideally Southeast Asia.
• Comfortable owning a revenue number and being measured against it.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and written communication skills.
• Experience working with a CRM (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).

Responsibilities

• Founding-Member Campaign & Membership Growth: Build a qualified pipeline and close memberships to meet revenue targets.
• Membership Model & Value Proposition: Design tiers, pricing, and benefits with leadership and refine the value proposition.
• Commercial Partnerships: Structure fee-based partnerships that align with the membership model.
• Retention & Member Experience: Own renewals and run onboarding with regular reviews.
• Performance & Reporting: Track pipeline, revenue, renewals, and maintain CRM records.
