Job summary

PT Translindo Nusa Pacific is seeking an experienced Export Pricing & Sales Support professional in Jakarta to source competitive air and ocean freight rates, manage RFQs, and prepare quotations for multinational clients. You will build tariff sheets, monitor market trends, and coordinate with sales, CS, and operations to ensure seamless onboarding of new business.

Qualifications

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (S1) or Diploma (D3) in Maritime Studies, Transportation Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 1–3 years of hands‑on experience in Export Pricing, Sales Support, or Customer Service within an international air/sea freight forwarding setup in Indonesia.
Deep understanding of export processes, Incoterms, ocean liner tariffs, local port charges, local customs practices, and air freight regulations.
Proficiency in spoken and written Bahasa Indonesia and English for communicating with overseas agents and local multi-national clients. (Mandarin proficiency is a plus).
Computer literate with strong command over Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and experience navigating freight forwarding software.
Excellent negotiation skills, analytical mindset for number‑crunching, ability to thrive under tight deadlines, and strong relationship‑building capabilities.

Responsibilities

Proactively source and negotiate competitive air and ocean freight export rates from shipping lines, co-loaders, airlines, and overseas agents.
Quickly process day-to-day spot inquiries and respond efficiently to structured RFQs and tenders.
Build, update, and manage the company’s internal buying and selling tariff sheets for core trade lanes.
Monitor local and international shipping market trends, container space availability (especially peak season congestion), and competitor pricing strategies.
Prepare accurate formal quotations and cost sheets for sales executives and direct customers.
Assist sales executives with early-stage client follow-ups, qualification of incoming leads, and scheduling introduction meetings.
Respond to routine client inquiries via email and phone calls in a highly professional, polite, and affirmative corporate manner.
Initiate space and container bookings with carriers/airlines upon sales conversion, securing Booking Confirmations (BK).
Coordinate with the customer service and operations teams to hand over newly won business accounts seamlessly, ensuring all quoted local charges and special instructions are aligned.
