Job summary

PT Kamadjaja Logistics seeks an experienced Pricing Forwarding Manager to lead pricing for freight and cargo forwarding services from North Jakarta. The role focuses on developing competitive, profitable pricing structures, analysing market data, and guiding sales with informed pricing decisions.

You will coordinate with sales, operations, and finance to maintain consistent pricing and optimize margins while ensuring regulatory compliance and strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in freight forwarding, cargo forwarding, or similar logistics pricing roles.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful pricing strategies that drive profitability and revenue growth.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data, cost structures, and financial metrics to inform pricing decisions.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
• In-depth knowledge of the freight and cargo forwarding industry, including service offerings, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
• Proficiency with pricing software, spreadsheet applications (such as Microsoft Excel), and logistics management systems.
• Strong understanding of cost structures, margin calculations, and financial performance metrics relevant to logistics operations.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented approach with strong organisational and time management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive pricing strategies for freight and cargo forwarding services across all trade lanes and service offerings.
• Analyse market trends, competitor pricing, and cost structures to identify opportunities for price optimisation and margin improvement.
• Prepare and present detailed pricing proposals to prospective and existing clients, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
• Manage pricing negotiations with clients, partners, and service providers to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
• Monitor and review pricing performance regularly, adjusting rates as necessary to reflect operational costs, market conditions, and business objectives.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and finance teams to ensure pricing consistency and alignment with overall business strategy.
• Maintain detailed pricing databases and documentation for all services and routes offered.
• Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities whilst maintaining service quality standards.
• Provide pricing guidance and support to the sales team to enable effective customer acquisition and retention.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies related to pricing practices.
