Job summary

DayOne is seeking a senior leader to guide global data centre operations from its Jakarta-based campus. You will drive strategic initiatives, manage performance across clusters, and partner with finance to align capital plans with growth objectives.

The role requires extensive experience in data centre operations, strong leadership, and a track record of delivering uptime and SLA adherence for large, multi-site environments. Excellent communication with clients and executives is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in data centre operations, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale, multi-cluster data centre operations.
• Strong understanding of data centre technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, including interaction with C-level executives and key clients.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in local languages is a plus.
• Advanced certifications such as CDCE, CTDC, or similar are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement campus-wide strategies aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
• Collaborate with regional leadership to set and achieve performance targets.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement across the campus.
• Oversee campus performance, uptime, and SLA compliance.
• Manage multiple cluster leaders to ensure cohesive operations.
• Implement and maintain campus-wide policies and best practices.
• Oversee large-scale maintenance and infrastructure upgrades.
• Develop and manage the campus operating budget and cost optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate with finance to forecast capital expenditure for growth.
• Act as the primary escalation point for major customer issues.
• Build strong client relationships and support growth initiatives with sales teams.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (ISMS, SOC2, PCI DSS) and robust risk management.
• Manage vendor relationships and cross-functional collaboration with IT, Security, and Facilities.
