Job summary

DayOne is a data centre pioneer seeking an experienced Operations Leader for our Batam, Indonesia operations. You will oversee daily data centre activities, drive uptime, and ensure customer SLAs are met.

You will lead engineers and support staff, coordinate maintenance with vendors, and uphold health, safety, and regulatory standards, including ISMS, SOC2, and PCI DSS. Fluent English and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Fluent in English.
Minimum 7-10 years in data centre operations, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of data centre infrastructure, including power, cooling, and network systems.
Certifications such as CDCP, CDCS, or similar are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple data centres, ensure uptime and SLA compliance.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of operations and technical staff; ensure 24/7 coverage.
Plan and oversee maintenance and upgrades with vendors, minimising impact on operations.
Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance; maintain documentation for audits.
Collaborate with customer support for 'smart hands' services and address inquiries.
Support Campus Director in strategic initiatives and budgeting.
