Job summary

Coface Indonesia is seeking a Commercial Debt Collector to manage a portfolio of B2B collection cases across Indonesia, supported by an international network. The role aims to maximise recovery while protecting client relationships and Coface's reputation, in line with global procedures and risk data.

The position requires 2–4 years' debt collection experience, fluent Bahasa Indonesia and English, and strong negotiation and case-management skills.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in commercial debt collection (B2B) or related credit control experience.
• Proven negotiation skills and ability to handle sensitive conversations.
• Understanding of contracts, invoices and basic financials.
• Ability to manage a portfolio, prioritize cases and meet deadlines.
• Fluent Bahasa Indonesia and proficient English.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned portfolio of collection files and take timely action in line with Coface procedures and service standards.
• Contact debtors, understand reasons for non-payment, negotiate payment arrangements within delegated authority.
• Review documents and information to assess recovery prospects and define recovery approach.
• Maintain professional communication with clients and provide updates on progress and outcomes.
• Coordinate with lawyers, external partners, and overseas Coface entities; follow up on progress.
• Escalate to legal or other recovery actions with supervisor approval and document supporting cases.
• Record actions, costs and recoveries in debt collection systems accurately.
• Support invoicing, remittance and reconciliation with complete case information.
• Handle complaints and disputes professionally; manage risks and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare case status and collection reports; collaborate with Sales, Legal, Finance and Claims.
