Job summary

Faithfull the Brand Pty Ltd in Bali is seeking a Garment Technician to support our Development and Production teams. You will assist with fitting, pre-production sampling, and creating Tech Packs, ensuring garments fit and function for commercial launch.

Working with Design and Pattern teams, you will ensure changes are accurately recorded and applied to bulk production, manage critical path dates, and uphold quality standards across multiple garment categories.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Fashion or garment industry
• Experience in pattern making and grading
• Tech packs, garment specs knowledge
• Fabric testing, textile properties and quality assurance
• Strong Bahasa and English communication

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain tech packs, specification and grading sheets
• Ensure fit samples are measured prior to fitting sessions
• Lead all SMS and PPS fit sessions with pattern/design changes recorded
• Analyse garment construction, measurements and fittings from SMS to PP to meet spec
• Record fit notes with images for factory reference and ease of understanding
• Update technical packs at PP approval stage with construction notes and graded specs
• Ensure construction techniques meet company standards and critical path dates
• Provide support to production/QC on construction/fit/quality issues
• Assist with top production sample approval and corrective action reports
• Collaborate with sample room and pattern makers to implement changes
• Assist with fabric testing, labeling and instructions
• Mentor Junior Garment Technician

Job description

We are looking for a Garment Technician to join our Bali Office. This role will work closely with our Development and Production teams.

Along with the Design and Pattern team,you willsupport in the fitting, pre-production sampling, and creating Tech Packs. Making sure the garments fit and function are ready for commercial launch.

An eye for fashion, trend, garment fit, quality, technical problem-solving, strong planning and organisational skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Create and maintain tech packs, specification and grading sheets

Ensure fit samples are measured prior to fitting sessions

Lead all SMS and PPS fit sessions, ensuring any pattern / design changes are accurately recorded and applied to bulk production

Analyse and check garment construction, measuring and fitting all samples, from SMS fit to PP stage, ensuring make and measurements meet spec / construction requirements

Ensure comments & fit notes are recorded in the technical pack with images highlighting the issues for factory’s visual reference / ease of understanding

At PPs approval stage, ensure any changes to technical pack have been updated and included. Ensuring construction, notes and graded specification charts are all accurately updated and issued back to the factory

Ensure garment fitting and construction techniques meet company standards

Ensure key dates set on the critical path for fit / pp approval comments are followed to ensure the factory can commence bulk production by the due date

Provide ongoing support to the production / QC team when issues & queries arise relating to construction / fit / specs / quality issues. Workshop ways to resolve the issues in to meet Product Delivery Schedule

Assist with top production sample approval process and provide approval feedback or corrective action reports to suppliers

Work closely with internal sample room and pattern makers to ensure changes are correctly followed and applied

Assist with fabric testing, instructions and labelling

Mentor and support Junior Garment Technician

Requirements:

3 years+ experience in a similar role within Fashion

Tertiary education in Design, Pattern making and Grading

Strong industry leading software and technology skills (e.g. Excel, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and the Adobe Creative Suite)

Experience in Pattern making, and Grading

Tech pack and garment spec knowledge

Experience working across a variety of categories

Knowledge and experience in fabric testing, textile properties and quality assurance

Strong communication skills in both Bahasa and English

Strong organisational skills to adhere to critical path deadlines

Ability to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment by being flexible and adaptable

Accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to build relationships and collaborate easily
