Job Summary

As QC Inspector, you are the eyes and hands of our buyer's quality function on the factory floor, permanently embedded at a production facility. You will perform final random inspections on every active production style, ensuring garments meet our buyer's standards before they leave the factory, while reviewing in-line QC reports for early risk visibility. Working closely with factory inspectors and technicians, you will build trusted relationships that support continuous quality improvement over time. Your inspection data and reporting feed directly into factory scorecards and improvement plans, giving you direct, measurable impact on production quality across the region, with the opportunity to grow into Phase 2 factory capability development as the program expands.

What You Will Do

• Perform final random inspections (Stage 5) on finished goods in line with AQL sampling plans and our buyer's inspection criteria, evaluating garments against approved PP samples, tech packs, and workmanship standards.
• Classify and document defects (critical, major, minor) accurately with photographic evidence, and contribute to Stage 7 data collection to feed factory scorecards.
• Review factory in-line QC reports (Stage 4) for early risk identification, and compare AQL results against the factory's own findings to track performance over time.
• Communicate inspection results to factory management, follow up on corrective actions, flag systemic quality or production risks to the QC Manager, and submit regular inspection reports.
• Support factory improvement plans, such as reducing rework rates through in-line technical assistance, and contribute to Phase 2 factory capability development.
• Assist with bulk fabric inspections, reporting issues such as colour shading, and build strong, trusted working relationships with factory production and QC teams.

Who You Are

• 2+ years of experience in garment quality inspection, ideally within menswear, tailoring, or shirts.
• Solid understanding of garment construction, common defect types, and AQL inspection standards, with the ability to read and interpret tech packs and garment specifications.
• Good written and spoken English for reporting to the regional QC Manager, plus local language proficiency relevant to the factory location.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• A sharp, consistent eye for garment quality and workmanship; objective and fair in defect assessment, independent from factory pressure; clear and accurate in documentation; and disciplined and accountable while building effective relationships with factory staff.
