Job summary

PT Trisco Tailored Apparel Manufacturing in Bandung seeks a senior Merchandiser to manage multiple buyer accounts, coordinate orders and maintain on-time delivery.

You will analyze tech packs, calculate consumption, prepare FOB/CMT cost sheets, and negotiate prices with buyers and suppliers to protect margins while preserving quality. Collaboration with Sample Room, Pattern Makers, QC and Production is essential to meet specs and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in textile/garment or related field.
• Minimum 5 years as a merchandiser in garment manufacturing.
• Experience handling 3–5 active major buyer accounts or high-volume orders.

Job description

Job Description:

Serve as the primary point of contact for multiple assigned buyer accounts, managing day-to-day communications professionally and proactively.

Oversee the Time & Action calendar for all active accounts, ensuring every processes are achieved on time.

Coordinate multiple orders varying in volume, style complexity, and shipment deadlines.

Analyze tech packs, calculate consumption, and prepare accurate cost sheets (FOB/CMT breakdowns).

Negotiate garment pricing with buyers and raw material costs with suppliers to optimize company profit margins without compromising quality.

Collaborate closely with the Sample Room and Pattern Makers to ensure samples (Proto, Fit, Size Set, PP) strictly match buyer specifications.

Manage the sourcing and approval process for all fabrics and trims, resolving any supply chain bottlenecks early.

Attend Pre-Production (PP) meetings alongside the Quality Control (QC) and Production teams to clarify buyer expectations and construction details before bulk production starts.

Monitor daily bulk production progress on the factory floor, troubleshooting issues related to material shortages, quality variances, or capacity constraints.

Maintain up-to-date order tracking sheets and status reports for management review.

Mentor and provide operational guidance to junior/assistant merchandisers within the team.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Textile/Garment Engineering, Fashion Business, Management, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Merchandiser in a garment manufacturing.

Proven experience handling at least 3–5 active major buyer accounts or handling high-volume parallel orders concurrently.

Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of garment construction, fabric performance, consumption calculation, and washing/printing processes.

Proficiency in ERP software, specialized garment management systems, and Microsoft Excel.

Soft Skills:

Exceptional negotiation, problem-solving, and crisis-management skills.

Excellent time-management and strong sense of urgency.

Fluent in English (written and spoken) is required for direct buyer communication. Proficiency in other languages (such as Mandarin or Japanese) is a strong advantage.
